koṇṭāṭu (p. 146) கிறேன், கொண்டாடினே ன், வேன், கொண்டாட, v. n. To enjoy another's society, to take pleasure in one's company, கூடிவிளையாட. 2. To be free and social in dealings, &c., குலாவ. 3. To enjoy social festivity. 4. v. a. To praise, to extol, to applaud, புகழ. 5. To celebrate, to observe; to solemnize--as a festival, a holiday, &c., கைக்கொள்ள. 6. To fondle, to caress, சீராட்ட; [ex கொள், et ஆடு, v.] குழந்தையுந்தெய்வமுங்கொண்டாடினவிடத்திலே. Children and deities delight to be where they are praised. துக்கங்கொண்டாட, inf. To mourn, to express grief by exterior indications. பெருநாட்கொண்டாட, inf. To celebrate a holiday. கொண்டாட்டம்--கொண்டாட்டு, v. noun. social enjoyment. 2. Free intercourse, dealing, &c. 3. Celebration, solemnization of a feast, &c. 4. Joviality, festivity. 5. Joy, delight. 6. Praise, applause. உவாத்தியாயரில்லாதிருந்தாற் பிள்ளைகளுக்குக்கொ ண்டாட்டம்.
