Transposing the lines of a verse without destroying the sense, அடிமாற்றுகை. 2. A verse so formed, ஓர்பா, as, அங்கண்மதியமரவின்வாய்ப்பட்டென்ப, பூசல்வாயாப்புலம்புமனைகலங்கி. அடிமறிமண்டிலவாசிரியப்பா, s. One of the four kinds of ஆசிரியம், the lines of which are interchangeable at pleasure, the meaning remaining the same, ஓர்வகையாசிரியப்பா. அடிமறிமாற்றுப்பொருள்கோள், s. Construction in which the lines of a stanza are interchangeable, the harmony and meaning remaining the same, or the harmony only slightly affected. Quinsy, a mortal disease which begins with the rising sun; when it begins in the night it is termed படுஞாயிறு. (Mat. Ind. Opp.) எழுந்தபடி--எழுந்தமானம், s. At random, in an unpremeditated manner, carelessly, மனதிலேதோன்றியபடி. எழுந்தருள, inf. To rise, become present or manifest as the divinity in an idol on consecration; to be present as a great personage, &c., தோன்ற. 2. Personal inquiry is as a perspective. சுவாலாமுகம்--சுவாலாமுகி, s. A place, where subterraneous fires break forth, venerated by the Hindus.--Note. A celebrated Jvalamukhi exists in Lahore, to which pilgrimages are made. The soil abounds with carburetted hydrogen, which takes fire on coming in con tact with the external air, especially if a light be applied. Vents are made; and a light being brought near the orifice, a flame is kindled, which is fed by the escaping stream of gas. Two aspects of Brahma as given in the Agamas: 1. அந்தர்முகம், knowing from within; 2. பாகிர்முகம், knowing from without. முகம். 14. An austere or harsh countenance. முகக்கட்டை, s. [com. மோவாய்க்கட் டை.] The chin. முகக்களை, s. Shining of the countenance. முகக்கிளர்ச்சி, v. noun. Cheerfulness of the countenance, as முகமலர்ச்சி. முகக்குறி--முகக்குறிப்பு, s. [in medi.] A symptom expressed by the countenance. See குறி. 2. See குறிப்பு. முகக்கோட்டம், v. noun. Expression of grief in the countenance; (lit.) crookedness of the face. See கோடு, v. முகங்கழுவுதல். Washing the face before eating. முகங்காட்டுதல். Shewing one's self for mere ceremony, as at a feast, &c., for a short time. 2. Shewing one's self in order to be known. 3. Shewing the face, as a person standing within doors and calling. 4. Shewing the face as a courtezan to allure paramours. முகங்குப்புற--முகங்கவிழ, inf. To incline the face towards the ground-used adverbially. Compare குப்புற. முகங்குறாவுதல், v. noun. Being of a sad countenance. முகங்கொடுத்தல். Granting a kind hearing. 2. Fondling or treating with great indulgence, பட்சங்காட்டல். பிள்ளைக்குமுகங்கொடாதே. Indulge not a child. முகங்கொள்ளல். Shooting forth, as a boil, &c., பருமுகங்காணல் முகங்கோடுதல்--முகங்கோணுதல். Being down-cast as the countenance. See கோடு, v. அவன்முகங்கோணிப்போனான். He went away dissatisfied. முகச்சரக்கு, s. Commodities for show. [limited.] முகச்சவரம்--முகச்சௌரம்--முக வேலை, s. Shaving the face. முகச்சாடை, s. A winking or slight notice. a pretended half notice, கண்டுங் காணாமை. 2. As முகச்சாயல். முகச்சாயல், s. One's features or likeness. See சாயல். அவனுடையமுகச்சாயலாயிருக்கிறான். This one is like the other. முகச்சாய்ப்பு, v. noun. A slight aversion, or half willingness, anger, விருப்பின்மை. முகச்செழிப்பம்--முகச்செழிப்பு, v. noun. Cheerfulness of countenance. முகஞ்சின்னம்போதல், v. noun. Being put out of countenance, or made ashamed, வெட்கப்படுதல். முகஞ்சுண்டுதல். Looking sullen. முகத்தைச்சுண்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறான். He has contracted his face; looks sullen. முகஞ்சுளித்தல், v. noun. Frowning, looking angry. முகஞ்சூம்பிப்போதல், v. noun. The face becoming wan. முகஞ்செத்துப்போகிறது. The countenance fades; (lit.) dies. முகஞ்செழித்தல், v. noun. Appearing with a cheerful countenance. முகதரிசனம், s. The propitious sight of a majestic countenance, or of one much loved. முகதலை, s. The first end of a cloth, that which was fastened to the weaver's beam--oppos. to சவதலை. 2. (R.) Confrontation. முகதலை, க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To confront, to face. எங்களைமுகதலைத்துவிடும். Bring us face to face. முகதலைப்பு, v. noun. Confrontation, as முகதலை, 2. முகத்தழகு--முகவெட்டு, s. Beauty of countenance, comeliness, perfection. முகதாட்சிணியம்--முகதாட்சிணை--முக தாக்ஷிணை, s. [vul. முகத்தாச்சிணை.] Respect of persons, complaisance, as முகமாட்டம். முகத்தாராளம்--முகபூரணம், s. Cheerfulness, as முகச்செழிப்பு. முகத்தாலடிக்க, inf. To repulse by the countenance. முகத்திரியக்குநாடி, s. [in anat.] Transverse facial artery. முகத்திலரும்ப--முகத்திலரும்பிறங்க-முகத்திலரும்புபுறப்பட, inf. [com. முகத்திலருப்ப மிறங்க, அருப்பம்புறப்பட, sometimes முகத்தில்கரி க்கோடிட.] To sprout as the hair on the upper lip of a young man. முகத்திலிரத்தந்தெறிக்கப்பேசுகிறது. Speaking as one enraged, see தெறி, v. முகத்திலீயாடவில்லை. A fly will not touch [his] face; i. e. it is is distorted with anger, &c. முகத்தில்விட்டெறிந்துபோடுகிறது. Flattery, (lit.) praise to the face. முகத்துவாரம், s. [loc.] The mouth of a frith, or arm of the sea, கழிமுகம். முகத்தெளிவு, v. noun. Placidity or serenity of countenance. 2. A symptom of death. See தெளிவுகொடுக்க. முகத்தேங்காய், s. [prov.] Upper part of a cocoa-nut next the stem. (Jaff.) முகநட்பு, s. Appearance of friendship, simulation of kindness. முகநாடி, s. Appearance of the face, a symptom revealed by the countenance, முகக்குறி. முகபங்கம், s. Shame-facedness, இ லச்சை. முகபடாம், s. A cloth to cover the face of an elephant. முகபாடம், s. [com. வாய்ப்பாடம்.] That which one has memoriter, or knows by heart. முகப்பணி, s. Shaving the face, முக வேலை. (p.) முகபரிச்சயம்--முகப்பழக்கம், s. [com. முகப்பரிச்சை.] Acquaintance. முகப்பரு, s. A pimple on the face. முகப்பாக்கு, s. [prov.] The upper part of an areea-nut. முகப்பிரியம், s. Respect of persons, as முகமாட்டம். முகப்பூச்சு, v. noun. A kind of paint used by dancers. 2. [fig.] Ostentatious appearance, வெளித்தோற்றம். முகப்பொருத்தம், s. Outward agreeableness, as முகநட்பு. முகப்போதரவு, s. [vul.] Coaxing, flattery, இச்சகம். முகமண்டலம், s. The circumference or orb of the face, the face, முகவட்டம். முகமலர்ச்சி--முகமலர்தல், v. noun. Glow of countenance; cheerfulness. முகமதைத்தல். Swelling of the face. முகமறிதல். [neg. முகமறியாமை.] Knowing, being acquainted with a person. மகமறியாதவனிடத்தில்எப்படிப்பேச. How can I talk with a stranger? முகமறுத்தல். Speaking impartially, or accurately. முகமறுத்துறவாடு. Make friendship without partiality. முகமாட்டம். Shewing the face. 2. Partiality, respect of persons, பாரபட்சம். முகமாயம், s. Confusion of mind, in presence of a fascinating woman. முகமாயக்காரி. A fascinating, handsome woman. முகமுகமாய், adv. [com. முகாமுகமாய்.] Face to face, personally. முகமுறிக்க--முகத்தைமுறிக்க, inf. [intrans. முகமுறிய, v. noun முகமுறிவு.] To disoblige, speak or act so as to wound the feelings, break the heart, alienate, &c. ஒருவனைமுகமுறியப்பேசாதே. Don't speak so as to offend one. முகமுன்னிலை, s. One's presence. முகமூடி, appel. n. A coat or covering often found on the face of children when born, பிறக்கையில்முகமூடியிருக்கும்பை. முகமூடிவஸ்திரம், s. A cloth to cover the face, a veil, முக்காட்டுச்சீலை. முகமொட்டுதல், v. noun. [prov. in cockfight.] Shewing the face of one cock to another, to rouse them. முகம்பார்த்தல்.
