tōṟṟu (p. 264) கிறேன், தோற்றினேன், வேன், தொற்ற, s. [used com. in the neuter only. with the datire of person.] To appear, to become visible, to come izn sight, காணப்பட. 2. To rise, to originate, to spring forth, to come into existence, to emanate, to be born, உற்பலிக்க. 3. To spring, to sprout, முளைக்க. 4. To be evolved, produced --as worlds, creatures, &c., from original elements, உண்டாக. 5. To appear to the mind, to seem, to be evident, மனதுக்குத் தோன்ற. 6. To be presented as images ideas, &c.,to the imagination, to be comprehended by the mind, பாவனையாய்க்காண. 7. To appear on the stage, கூத்தில்வர. 8. To be felt, perceived, &c., by any of the senses, &c., விடயமாக. 9. To cause to appear, to show, to produce, தோன்றச்செய்ய; [ex தோன்று.] தோற்றாமல், [neg. v. part.] Being imperceptible or invisible. தோற்றாமற்கொண்டுபோக, inf. To take away unseen. 2.
