kvṉi (p. 98) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. and v. n. (c.) To be attentive, to attend to, to take notice of, to heed, observe, exercise thought, நினைவுகூர. கவனித்துக்கேட்க, inf. kūr (p. 135) --கூரு, கிறது, கூரும், கூர, v. n. To be sharp--as the edge or point of an instrument, ஆயுதமுதலியகூராக. 2. To become keen, acute, brilliant--as the intellect; to be sagacious, clever, penetrating, புத்திமுத லியகூர; [ex கூர், sharpness.] 3. To be abundant, copious, excessive, மிக; [ex கூர், abundant.] கூர்ந்தபுத்தி, s. Sharp wit, quick perception. கூர்ந்துபார்க்க, inf. To look with a sharp eye, to look intently. கூர்ப்பு, v. noun. Intenseness of passion; keenness of the faculties or senses; copiousness, abundance, excessiveness; greatness, eminence, உள்ளதுசிறக்கை. நினைவுகூர, inf. To remember. 8)

niṉai (p. 277) கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், ய, v. n. To consider, reflect, கருத. (p.) நினைவு, v. noun. Thought, &c., as நி னைப்பு. (c.) நினைவாயிருக்கிறது. There is recollection. எனக்குநினைவில்லை. I do not remember it; I cannot call it to mind. நினைவுகூர, inf. To recollect. See கூர், v. நினைவுகேடு, v. noun. Loss of memory, forgetfulness, மறதி. 2. Loss of consciousness, as in sleep, swooning, drunkenness, &c., கருத்தழிவு. நினைவுதடுமாற்றம், v. noun. Delirium, derangement. நினைவுத்தப்பு--நினைவுமோசம், s. A mistake in thought, forgetting. நினைவுவைக்க, inf. To apply the mind, to fix the thoughts on the Deity, or any object, மனம்வைக்க. 2. To hanker after, to desire, இச்சிக்க. 3. To think of one, நினைக்க. 4. To remember with gratitude, or affection, ஞாபகஞ்செய்ய. நினைவோட, inf. To occur as a train of thought, to be pursued, as an object in the mind. 210)
