kuẕai (p. 129) கிறது, ந்தது, யும், ய, v. n. To be soft, mashed, pulpy, slimy. &c., சோறு முதலியனகுழைய, 2. To become tender--as the mind by love, friendship, pity, &c, மனமிளக. 3. To be social, and friendly, sometimes with a clandestine purpose in view, சேர்ந்துசெறிய. 4. To fade, shrink; to become spoiled--as flowers, or twigs by use in the hand, மலர்முதலியனவாட. 5. To become discouraged, dismayed, தைரியங்குறைய. 6. To be bent--as a bow; to be curved, to be coiled up, வளைய. மோப்பக்குழையுமனிச்சமுகந்திரிந்து நோக்கக்குழை யும்விருந்து. The Anicham flower fades in being smelt; and the feast fades on a change of countenance (of host or guest). இழையத்தீட்டிக்குழையவடித்தல். Beating the rice well and straining it when it is boiled to a pap. குழைந்துபறிமாறுகிறார்கள். They live in mutual hormony. குழைகறி--குழைந்தகறி, s. Mashy vegetable curry. குழைசாந்து, s. Coarse mortar--as used in building walls, or rough plastering. குழைசுண்ணாம்பு, s. Lime for plaster, white-washing, &c.; macerated lime. குழைசேறு, s. Soft mire, slime. குழைந்தசோறு, s. Rice over--boiled. குழைந்தமனம், s. A relenting, tender mind, இளகியமனம். குழையல், v. noun. Any thing mixed or mashed, &c., குழைந்தது. குழையற்கறி, s. Mashy or pulpy curry. 2. Curry over-boiled. குழையற்சாதம், s. Rice over-boiled. குழையற்பனாட்டு, s. [prov.] Dried palmyra pulp grown mashy. குழைவு, v. noun. Mashy state, குழை கை. 2. Tenderness of mind, pity. உருக் கம். 3. kūṭai (p. 133) s. An oblong or other kind of basket, made of ratan, ola, &c., பிரம்புமுதலிய வற்றிற்செய்தகூடை. 2. [local.] An ola covering from rain, மழைக்கூடை. 3. A variety in dancing, கூத்தின்விகற்பம். கூடைபின்ன--கூடைமுடைய, inf. To plat கூடை bags or baskets. அங்கமணிக்கூடை, s. [local.] A basket of presents to a newly married girl, &c. இறைகூடை, கொடிக்கூடை, கொட்டுக்கூடை, சாட்டைக்கூடை, தட்டுக்கூடை, தாற்றுக்கூடை, தூற்றுக்கூடை, நெல்லுக்கூடை, பனாட்டுக்கூடை, பிரப்பங்கூடை, புட்டுக்கூடை, பூக்கூடை, வடுவக் கூடை are baskets of different kinds and for different uses, See these words. 27)

tṭṭu (p. 222) s. A salver of gold, silver or other metal, or wood, தட்டம். 2. A circle, வட்டம். 3. Lofts of a car, a floor of a carriage, range of a car, தேர்நடு. 4. A shelf, பரண்தட்டு. 5. A platform, gallery, balcony, piazza, மேன்முகப்புத்தட்டு. 6. Any flat surface--as of a palankeen, coach, &c., சிவிகைமுதலியவற்றின்தட்டு. 7. Upper loft of a house, மேனிலை. 8. A curve, or bend, வளைவு. (c.) தட்டடித்தல், v. noun. Cutting out or making a notch or mortise in the edge of a board. தட்டுக்கொடி, s. [prov.] A kind of paper kite with eight angles. தட்டகப்பை, s. A spoon used in cooking rice-cakes. Compare சட்டகப்பை. தட்டுச்சுளகு, s. A broad, shallow, winnowing fan, commonly square. தட்டுச்சுற்று, v. noun. Waving a salver with burning camphor before an idol. சோற்றுத்தட்டு, s. A perforated cover for straining congy water from boiled rice. பூந்தட்டு, s. A salver for presenting flowers. தட்டுமணி, s. A necklace of ornamented squares of gold. தட்டுமூட, inf. To join a mortise, a seam, &c. தட்டுவைக்க, inf. To attach snares to the squares, to catch birds. 2. To give one a knock on the head, to give a tap. தட்டுக்கிளி--தட்டுக்கிழி, s. A kind of jumping play from square to square. 2. The squares of the play. தட்டுக்கிளிபாய--தட்டுப்பாய, inf. To jump in தட்டுக்கிளி play. தட்டுக்கூடை, s. A broad, shallow basket. தட்டுப்பனாட்டு, s. [prov.] Well dried cakes of palmyra jelly. தட்டுமுட்டு, s. Like a large basket of palmyra jelly, spoken of persons short and fat. பனாட்டுக்கிள்ளு, s. A broken piece of palmyra cake. பனாட்டுத்தட்டு, s. Thin lamina of பனாட்டு. பனாட்டுத்தோல், s.
