There are different kinds of தடி--as இருப்புத் தடி, கிலுக்குத்தடி, குணுக்குத்தடி, சோட்டாத்தடி, நுகத் தடி, பாணாத்தடி, வளைதடி, which see severally. விறகுதடியாய்ப்போனான். He is greatly emaciated; (lit.) as fire-wood. [prov.] குயவனுக்குப் பலநாள்வேலை தடியடிக்காரனுக்குச்சற் றுநேரவேலை. Many day's work for the potter, but a few moment's for the breaker. தடிக்கம்பு, s. [loc. தடிக்கொம்பு.] A walking cane, or staff. தடிக்கம்புச்சாப்பாடு, v. noun. Flogging. See under சாப்பாடு. தடித்தனம், s. Rashness, passionateness, rudeness. தடிப்பயல், s. A stubborn person, a block-head. 2. A corpulent person. தடியடிக்காரன், s. A violent person, who acts inconsiderately. தடிமாடன், s. An impudent fellow; [ex மாடன், a demon.] தடியனாபிள்ளை--தடியாண்பிள்ளை, s. An impudent, or corpulent person. தடிபோட, inf. To measure by the long stick in the கிட்டிப்புள்ளு game. தடிமூக்குள்ளான், A kind of snipe. See உள்ளான். தடியன்--தடிமிண்டன், s. A stout, corpulent person, பருத்தவன். 2. A strong athletic man, ஆண்மையுடையவன். 3. An obstinate person, முருடன். குண்டாந்தடி, s. A baton. 6)

pru (p. 299) க்கிறது, த்தது, க்கும், க்க, v. n. To become large, thick, bulky, plump; to thicken, to swell, to bloat, பெருக்க. 2. To increase in size, to grow up, வளர. 3. To become serious in aspect, consequences, &c., to be aggravated, கனக்க. 4. To be increased--as lands, one's estate, an amount, expenses, &c., பெருக. 5. To increase as a scale of performance, living, equipage, &c., அதிகரிக்க. பருத்துக்காட்டுதல். Being magnified, appearing greater, as objects viewed through a magnifying glass; to be magnified in description. பருக்கஎழுத, inf. To write a large hand. பருக்கெனல், v. noun. The place of battle where many have been slain, யுத்தகளம். பிணஞ்சுட, inf. To burn a corpse. பிணத்தூக்கம், s. Deep sleep. பிணநாற்றம், s. Bad smell of a corpse. பிணநெய், s. Fat extracted from corpses and used in magic. பிணந்தின்னி, appel. n. One who feeds on corpses. பிணந்தின்னிப்பிச்சி--பிணந்தின்னிப் பேய், s. A puny devil living on corpses. பிணப்பறை, s. A funeral drum, as சாப்பறை. பிணமெடுக்க, inf. To take up a corpse for burning or burying. பிணம்போலேகிடக்க, inf. To be motionless, as a corpse when asleep or feigning sleep. 2.
