See பஞ்சு--There are different kinds of cotton, viz: காட்டுப்பருத்தி, wild cotton; செம்பருத்தி, Gossypium religiosum; தாளிப்பருத்தி, Gossypium vitifolium; பட்டுப் பருத்தி, silk cotton; பூப்பருத்தி, flower cotton; பேய்ப்பருத்தி or மலைப்பருத்தி, hill cotton; வெ ண்பருத்தி, common cotton; உப்பம்பருத்தி, குப் பைப்பருத்தி, இலாடன்பருத்தி, நாடன்பருத்தி, are some other kinds of பருத்தி. வேலிப்பருத்தி, s.
