immeṉl (p. 47) . An imitative sound, இம்--as expressive of haste, அனுகர்ணவோசை. 2. A particle of quickness, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. (p.) இம்மெனவந்துவிட்டான். He is come already. இம்மெனுமளவுநீங்காதென்செய்வானேங்கினானே. (The spectre) not being separated, from him, even for a moment, he was frightened, finding no means to be rid of it. (திருவிளை.) 24)

aiyeṉl (p. 80) . A particle denoting speed, urgency, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. ஐயெனத்தொழுதுவீரனந்தணனுயிரைமீட்டு. The valiant (Arjuna) speedily prostrating himself before him, saved the life of the brahman. (பாரத.) 28)

ktumeṉl (p. 91) v. noun. Occurring quickly, hastily, suddenly, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. (p.) கதுமெனத்தாநோக்கி. They (the eyes) looking quickly. (குறள்.) 19)

kupīrkupīreṉl (p. 121) --குபீல்குபீலெ னல், v. noun. Moving or rushing with suddenness, or vehemence, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. 2. Flowing with force; spinning out--as blood from a vein. குபீரென--குபீரென்று--குபீலென-குபீலென்று, adv. Suddenly, abundantly, vehemently; in small streams. 30)

kuṟukuṟeṉl (p. 132) v. noun. Showing signs of haste, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. 2. Tingling--as the ears, காதுதின்னல். 3. Muttering in token of displeasure, அசந்தோஷக்குறிப்பு. குற்றமுள்ளநெஞ்சுகுறுகுறென்னும். குறும்பியுள்ளகாது தினவுதின்னும். A guilty conscience causes melancholy, and a dirty car itches. குறுகுறென்றுநடக்க, inf. To walk with quick, short-steps. குறுகுறென்றுமிழிக்க, inf. [prop. விழிக் க்க.] To have a look of fear, to have a thievish countenance. 32)

crcreṉl (p. 166) v. noun. Rustling, as dry leaves, ஒலிக்குறிப்பு. 2. Gliding along, moving quickly without impediment or hesitation, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. (c.) சரசரென்றுவர, inf. To run into one's house without leave. சரசரென்றெழுத, inf. To write quickly. சரசரென்றேற, inf. To penetrate without resistance--as thorns in one's foot. 2. To climb on a tree without hesitation. 3. To pervade one's system--as poison from the bite of snakes, கதியாய் விஷமேற. சரசரென்றோட, inf. To move freely and swiftly--as water, the wheels of a carriage, &c. 33) *

crēreṉl (p. 168) --சரேலெனல், v. noun. Being direct, abrupt, without impediment or hesitation; being precipitant or hasty; passing swiftly with a hurried rushing sound, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. Compare சரசரெனல். சரேரென்றுபோ. Go directly without stopping by the way. சரேரென்றுவா. Come quickly. முள்ளுச்சரேரென்றேறிவிட்டது. The thorn went in far at once, &c. 18)

tṭtṭeṉl (p. 221) v. noun. Fluency in reading, writing, &c., swiftness in walking, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. (c.) அவன்தடதடென்றுவாசிப்பான். He reads very fluently. 63) *

nrukkeṉl (p. 270) v. noun. Suddenness. abruptness, promptness, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு, (c.) நருக்கெனச்செய். Make haste and do it at once. 90)

pṟpṟeṉl (p. 303) v. noun. Sounding as tearing cloth, &c. breaking wind, ஈரடுக் கொலிக்குறிப்பு. 2. [prov.] Being quick, hasty, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. (c.) பறபறென்றுஇழுத்தல். Dragging one to the ground. பறபறென்றுசீலைகிழிதல். Noise made in tearing cloth. 37)

pukupukeṉl (p. 322) v. noun. [Tel. com. குபு குபெனல், குபீர்குபீரெனல்.] Tossing with velocity, as water, &c., விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. 2. Coming in puffs as wind, ஒலிக்குறிப்பு. புகுபுகென்றுகாற்றுவருகிறது. The wind comes in puffs, blasts or whiffs. 3)

mtmteṉ (p. 341) inf. To be wanton, infatuated, மதமுற. 2. To be paralyzed, as the limbs, சுரணைகுன்ற. 3. [prov.] To be quick, intense, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. 4. To make a noise in drinking, ஒலிக்குறிப்பு. மதமதென்றெழும்பினது. It shot up luxuriantly. மதமதென்றுகிளைக்கிறது. Multiplying rapidly --as a race, or a herd. 2. Throwing out branches, growing very rank. மதமதென்றுகுடிக்கிறது. Drinking fast in large quantities. மதமதென்றுபாய்கிறது. Flowing in channels with a gurgling sound. மதமதென்றுவளர்கிறது.
