[prov.] A sea-conjurer who by magic prevents sharks, &c., from injuring divers, கடலிலுள்ளசெந் துக்களைத்தடைகட்டுவோன். கடல்நாய், s. A kind of sea-dog. கடல்நுரை, s. (lit. the froth of the sea.) Sea-shell eaten with age, Ossepi&ae;, the cuttle bone. (See அக்கினிகர்ப்பம்.) It is one of the twenty kinds of உபரசம். 2. A kind of pastry, ஓரப்பம். கடல்மனிதர், s. To be abundant, plentiful--as money, &c. குப்பைபோட--குப்பைவைக்க, inf. To cast peel, parings, refuse, &c., on the floor. 2. To manure with sweepings, rubbish, &c. குப்பைகிளைக்க--குப்பைசீக்க, inf. To tear or scratch up a dunghill, a heap of sweepings, &c--as a hen. குப்்பைகூட்ட--குப்பைபெருக்க, inf. To sweep up rubbish. குப்பைக்காரன், s. (fem. குப்பைக்காரி.) A sweeper of the streets, a scavenger. குப்பைவாரி, s. A garden-rake, வாரு கோல். See குப்பைக்காரன். குப்பைக்கீரை, s. A kind of weed. See under கீரை. குப்பைப்பருத்தி, s. A plant, ஓர்பருத் தி. See under பருத்தி. குப்பையன், s. (fem. குப்பைச்சி.) A sloven, in contempt, அழுக்கடைந்தவன். 6)
