The chaya root used as a dye, சாயவேர். சாயங்காலம், s. Evening just before sunset, the close of day, அந்திப்பொழுது. சாயங்காலவந்தனை, s. Evening devotion. (R.) சாயசந்தி, s. Work in dying with red as distinguished from நீலப்பணி. சாயச்சால், s. A vat for dying. சாயச்சேலை, s. A dyed சேலை cloth. சாயப்பொல், s. [prov.] A painted cane, staff, &c. சாயத்துக்குப்போட, inf. To be given for dying. (c.) சாயம்பிடிக்க, inf. To take or imbibe a dye. சாயவேர், s. The chaya-root. சாயவேர்ச்சக்களத்தி, s. A plant. See இம்பூறற்சக்களத்தி. சாயவேர்குத்திகள், s.
