kuṭlai (p. 116) s. [prov.] Corn-ears swollen and ready to shoot forth, கதிர்க்குடலை. 2. A kind of basket of cocoanut-leaf or palmyra-leaf for fruits, flowers, &c., ஓலைக்கூடை. 3. A ring of wicker work for a well, கிணற் றுக்குடலை. 4. A cover or screen for fruits, பழக்கூடு. 5. A cover of cocoanut or palmyra leaves carried to defend from rain, ஓலைக்கூடு. 6. The intestines, entrails--as குடல். 7. [vul.] Membrum virile, testes under the fore-flap (in contempt). குடலையுங்கதிரும், s. [prove.] Corn-ears shooting forth, and shot forth; spikes partially shot forth. பூக்குடலை, s. A flower-basket of a braided cocoanut-leaf. குடலைக்கிணறு, s. A well walled with wicker-work. குடலையாகுதல், v. noun. [prov.] Being ready to shoot forth--as corn-ears. கறிக்குடலை, s. kuṭl (p. 116) s. Bowels, entrails, intestines, garbage, குடர்--Note. இரைக்குடல், கல்லுக்கு டல், சிறுகுடல், தீனிக்குடல், பெருங்குடல்மணிக் குடல், மலக்குடல்--are different kinds of குடல் (See those words.) 2. A kind of fungous matter in the hollow of gourds, &c. காய்குடல். 3. Pith in the body of trees, மரக்குடல். 4. Streaks running down the interrior of plantains and other fruits, பழக்குடல். குடலதிருகிறது. The bowels tremble. குடலுங்கூந்தலுங்கொண்டதுகோலம். The bowels and the hair must be treated as accustomed. குடலழுகினபூசனிக்காய். A pumpkin, the internal part of which is rotten. குடல்கொழுத்தது. The bowels are grown fatty; causing a bad appetite--also exciting pride. குடலெரிகின்றது. The bowels are yearn. குடலேறிக்கொண்டுது. The bowels are twisted or deranged--as by assuming an unnatural position. குடலொட்டிக்கழிய. To have a flux from noxious matter in the bowels; to have a severe and copious discharge at stool. குடலேற்றம், s. Twisting or derangement of the bowels, See ஏற்றம். குடல்மாலை, s. The folds or turnings of the bowels. குடல்வலி, s. Aching pains in the bowels, caused often by continued hunger. குடல்வாதம், s. A disease causing flatulency and frequent watery discharges. குடல்கவ்வு, s. The omentum, caul. குடற்பிரிவு, v. noun. [prov.] A dislodgment of the bowels. குடற்புரை, s. The orifice of the bowels. குடற்பை--குடற்போர்வை, s. The womb, uterus. குடலறவோட, inf. To run very fast so as to cause the bowels to pant; lit. loosen or part. குடலைப்பிடுங்க, inf. To draw out the entrails. 2. (metoph.) To heave, retch, nauseate. குடல்காய்தல், v. noun. Drying of the intestines--being without food: starving. 31)

cri (p. 166) கிறது, ந்தது, யும், ய, v. n. [lit. to go, move, descend]; hence. To lean, decline from the perpendicular; to recline, to fall on one side, சாய. 2. To flow or roll down --as a stream from a mountain, corn from a heap, சரிந்துசெல்ல. 3. To slip, slide off --as a garment, நழுவ. 4. To roll or fall down a precipice, or from a height--as bricks from a wall, மேலிருந்து கீழுருள. 5. [in reproach.] To recline or lie down, படுக்க. 6. To flock to a place, go in crowds, or a train--as men or beasts, பட்சிமுதலியனகூடிப் போக. 7. To die off, to die, (commonly said in reproach, சாவ.) 8. To decline--as a heavenly body, கிரகஞ்சாய. 9. To be set aslant, to be raised on one side, to be tilted, சரிவா யிருக்க. 1. To give way, to yield, to be defeated--as an army or party, பின்னிட. (c.) பகைவர்படைசரிந்தது. The army of the enemy was defeated. சும்மாசரிந்துகிடவேன். Don't be meddling, (lit.) go and lie down in peace. வெட்டினாலே தோள்சரிந்தது. The wounded shoulder hung down. அநேகர்சரிகிறார்கள். Many people are going in crowds. சரிந்தவெழுத்து, s. Sloping letters, in writing. சரிந்தவயிறு, s. The pendent abdomen --as when the f&oe;tus descends near the time of delivery. 2.
