kuppuṟu (p. 122) கிறேன், குப்புற்றேன், வேன், குப் புற, v. n. To fall prostrate, on the face and front of the body, முகங்குப்புறவிழ. 2. To incline the face downwards, தலைகுனிய. 3. To pass over, to leap over, கடக்க. 4. to jump down, பாய. பிள்ளைகுப்புற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறது. The child lies with the face downwards. குப்புறத்தள்ள, inf. To throw one down upon the face. குப்புறப்படுக்க--குப்புறக்கிடக்க, inf. To lie, or sleep, on the face. குப்புறப்பிடிக்க, inf. To hold--as an infant--with the face downwards. குப்புறவிழ-குப்புற்றுவிழ, inf. To trip and fall forward, to fall flat on the face --generally involuntarily. குப்புறவிழுந்துபடுத்துக்கொண்டான். He lay flat on his face, obstinately refusing to rise. 5)

puẕuti (p. 327) s. [poet. பூழ்தி.] Dust, dried earth, pulverized, or fine mould. 2. Powder, தூள். (c.) புழுதியாய்க்கிடக்கிறது. It is all dusty. புழுதிகுடிக்க, inf. [vul.] To inhale dust, as snakes. 2. To take in dust involuntarily. ஏழுதிகுளிக்க--புழுதியாட, inf. To lie in dust, as a child. 2. To be immersed in a drift of dust, also புழுதியளைய. புழுதிக்காடு, s. To reduce dry land, to dust, by ploughing. புழுதியார்க்க, inf. To fill the air with dust. (p.) புழுதியெடுக்க, inf. To plough the field the third or last time. புழுதிவிதைக்க, inf. [prov. புழுதிபோட.] To sow a field when it is dry, for the seed to remain in the dust until rain comes. புழுதிவிதைப்பு, v. noun. Sowing seed in the dust. அடைபற்றினபுழுதி. A clod of dust. (R.) 50)
