To be humbled, or tamed; to be reduced--as pride; to be broken--as the constitution, தாழ. 1. To be reduced in force as the wind or heat, தணிய. 11. To yield--as a disease, or poison--to medicines or incantations, உக்கிரமடங்க. 12. To be stopped, hindered, or quashed--as proceedings, &c., அமர. 13. To be turned off, diverted, thrown back--as weapons, தடைபட. 14. To be silenced by argument, sophistry or authority, to be checked, confuted, refuted, வாயடங்க. 15. To be lodged with one--as property on the death of the owner, அடைய. மடங்கலர், appel. n. [pl.] Foes, enemies; insubordinate persons, பகைவர். மடங்கலர்க்கசனியன்னான்.
