kuṟukuṟeṉl (p. 132) v. noun. Showing signs of haste, விரைவுக்குறிப்பு. 2. Tingling--as the ears, காதுதின்னல். 3. The final மை is dropped to form adjectives. உக்குறுமை, s. [in gram.] Short உ. குறுங்கணக்கு, s. A rod of two cubits long, இரண்டுமுழஅளவுகோல். குறுஞ்சிரிப்பு--குறுநகை, s. [vul. குஞ் சிரிப்பு.] A smile, simper, smirk. குறுஞ்சுனை, s. Small pools, wells, &c., in hilly regions. குறுமாக்கள், s. Children, youngesters, சிறுவர்; [ex மாக்கள், men.] குறுநிலமன்னர், s. Petty, tributary chiefs of the Kurumba people, சிற்றரசர். குறும்பொறை, s. A hill, சிறுமலை. 2. A mountain, மலை. 3. A forest, jungle, காடு. 4. (சது.) A town in a hilly tract, குறிஞ்சிநிலத்தூர். குறும்பொறைநாடன், s. A chief of a forest district. குறுநெளிப்பு, v. noun. [prov.] Affected motion of the body. குறுநொய்--குறுணல், s. Broken rice, bruised grain, grit. குறுந்தடி, s. A short stick. 2. A drum stick. குறுந்தறி, s. A stake, குறுந்தடி. 2. Blocks built in a wall to support timbers, சுவர்த்தறி. 3. The ornamental capital of a column or pillar, போதிகை. குறுங்கலி, s. A kind of lute, common in forest tracts, பாலையாழ்த்திறம். 2. A poem in which a lady reproaches her lover or husband for deserting her, ஓர் வகைச்செய்யுள். குறுங்கற்றலை, s. A fish, ஓர்மீன். குறுந்துளசி--குறுந்துழாய், s. The சிறு துளசி plant See துளசி. குறுந்தேங்காய், s. A fruit resembling a cocoanut, cast on shore from the ocean. See சிறுதேங்காய். குறுந்்தொட்டி, s. The சிறுகாஞ்சொறி plant, Hemp-leaved tragia. குறுமீன், s. The name of a fish. குறிது--குறியது, s. A short thing, a low or dwarfish creature, little used. குறியர், (plu. of குறியன்.) s. Dwarfs --opposed to நெடியர். குறுமுனி, s. A name of Agastya; lit. the dwarfish sage. குற்றுடைவாள், s. A cimeter, a short dagger for stabbing an enemy, சிறுவாள். குறுவாழ்க்கை, s. Poverty, தரித்திரம். 2. Short-lived pleasure. (p.) குறுவிசனம்--குறுவிசாரம், s. A gloomy state of mind, melancholy; calamity. குறுவிலை, s. Scarcity, சிறுவிலை. குறுவிழிவிழிக்க, inf. [com. குறுமிழி மிழிக்க.] To stare; to look intently, through anger, fear, &c. குறுவேர்வை, s. A sudden, slight perspiration through diffidence, fear, &c. குற்றேவல், s. A slight commission; a trifling job, low employment, servility, drudgery, menial service. குற்றுயிர், s. Half dead; lit. half alive, குறைப்பிராணன். 2. cōr (p. 212) --சோரு, கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், சோ ர, v. n. To languish, droop; to be prostrate of lifeless, as the limbs in sleep; to be weary, tired, exhausted, faint, தரை. 2. To faint, swoon, களைக்க. 3. To be infatuated or love-sick, மதிமயங்க. 4. To slip off, slip down as clothes, to become uncovered--as a person asleep, சீலைசோர. 5. [improp. for சுவறு, (v.)] To be absorbed in the system as oil, &c. (c.) சோர்ந்துகிடக்கிறான். He is fainting or languishing. சோரப்போட, inf. To let an affair the still. 2. To let a commodity lie. in hopes of getting it cheaper. 3. To appear careless, as an adversary, till an opportunity offer. சோரத்தேய்க்க, inf. To rub oil well in. See சுவறத்தேய்க்க. சோரப்பெய்ய, inf. To rain profusely. சோரவிட, inf. To go slack--as a rope. 2. To let slip, literally or figuratively. காரியத்தைச்சோரவிடாதே. Do not let the business drop. சோர்ந்துபோக, inf. To become weary, faint; to droop, &c., to despond. 2. To be stolen, pilfered. 3. To be cheated. கைசோர்ந்துபோக, inf. To be paralyzed, or weary in the arms. சோர்ந்துவிழ, inf. To faint and fall, to slip off. சோர்வாதம், s. [prov.] Loss of life or power in a limb, &c., அயர்ச்சி. கைகால்சோர, inf. To droop--as to the limbs. சொற்சோர, inf. To falter in voice. 2. To fall in a promise. சோரல், v. noun. Drooping, fainting. சோர்தல். சோர்--சோர்பு, v. noun. Sadness. 2. Lassitude. சோர்வு, v. noun. Languishing, drooping, swooning, சோர்தல். 2. Weakness, failure in strength or mental powers, மெலிவு. 3. Carelessness, listlessness. inattention, negligence, remissness in duty, மறதி. 4. Dropping, falling off, slipping off--as clothes, trickling down, சீலைமுதலியனசோர்கை. 5. That which is lost by theft, or embezzlement, இழந்து விடுகை. 6. Moral blemish, fault, failure, ஒழுக்கஞ்சோர்கை. 7. Dejection, despondency, மனத்தளர்ச்சி. 8. Growing slack or loose, சுழலுகை. சோர்வறப்படித்தவன், appel. n. One who has learned thoroughly. சோர்வாய்ப்போக, inf. To be lost, to disappear. சோர்வில்லாமுயற்சி, s. Indefatigable energy and application. சோர்வுபார்க்க, inf. To spy, watch for opportunity, in order to pilfer. Compare வேவுபார்க்க. சொற்சோர்வு, v. noun. Faltering in speech. See சொல். 118)

tyngku (p. 224) கிறேன், தயங்கினேன், வேன், க, v. n. To glitter, to corruscate, to shine, ஒளிசெய்ய. 2. To waver, to shake, to be flexible, weak--as unable to bear a weight, அசைய. 3. tvi (p. 228) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. To be distressed for want of water, food, &c., to sigh, pant or languish for, தாபம டைய. 2. To be in great anxiety for, to feel concerned about, உபத்திரவப்பட. 3. To be in distress, jeopardy, danger, வரந்த; [exதவனம்.] (c.) கன்றைத்தேடிப்பசுதவிக்கிறது.
