neruṭu (p. 280) s. Rubbing with the fingers, நிமிண்டுகை. 2. Rubbing or twisting two ends of yarn between the finger and thumb to join them, இழைப்பொருத்து. 3. Feeling, groping with the hands, தடவுகை. 4. Knots in cloth from the joinings of the yarn, நூல்நெருடு. 5. [com. நெரடு.] Knotty or abstruse as a passage which is obscure or difficult in construction, கருகல். 6. Rugged or difficult of utterance, from the collocation of certain letters, சொற்சங்கடம். 7. Indistinctness in writing, one stroke running into another, &c., மயக்கவெழுத்து. 8. Guile, deceit, intrigue, வஞ்சனை. (c.) நெருடன்--நெருடுள்ளவன், s. A deceitful, scheming man, வஞ்சகன். நெருடுள்ளபுடவை, s. Knotty cloth. நெருட்டுக்கருத்து, s. An abstruse idea. 2. Abstruse construction of a passage. நெருட்டுப்பாடல், s.
