kiṟukku (p. 112) கிறேன், கிறுக்கினேன், வேன், கிறு க்க, v. a. To efface, blot out, obliterate, cancel, கிறுக்கித்தள்ள. 2. To scribble, to write with an iron pen, to grave, எழுத. இதையெழுதினதில்லை கிறுக்கினான். He has not written this well, he has scribbled. ஒருதுண்டுகிறுக்கியனுப்பிவிடும். Drop a line to him; scribble a line to him. கிறுக்கு, v. noun. Blotting, cancelling, obliteration, கிறுக்கித்தள்ளுகை. 2. A letter, character, or writing, எழுத்து. கிறுக்காயிருக்க, inf. tuṭai (p. 245) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To wipe, wipe off, clean by wiping, rub, scour, scrub, சீக்க. 2. To sweep, brush, பெருக்க. 3. To efface, obliterate, erase, expunge, அழிக்க. 4. To clear away, dispel, remove, expel, நீக்க. 5. To clear off a stain from one's character, வடுஅகற்ற. 6. To destroy, do away, annihilate, as a world, நிர்மூலமாக்க. 7. To relinquish, desert, கைவிட. (c.) துடைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான். He has carried off every thing. அழுகிறவன்முகத்தைத்துடைக்கவேணும். (One) should comfort the mourner. எங்களைத்துடைத்துத்தள்ளிப்போட்டான். tēy (p. 258) கிறது, ந்தது, தேயும், தேய, v. n. To wear away, wear off, be rubbed away, wear out, or be frayed away, உரைய. 2. To lesson or decrease, waste away; to become exhausted, குறைய. 3. To wane as the moon, கலைகுறைய. 4. To lessen or be reduced as sin, or as the stock of accumulated actions, good or evil, &c., கன் மந்தேய. 5. To be emaciated, stunted--as a child; to be reduced,--as wealth, property, splender, &c., இளைக்க. 6. To lapse, pass, wear away--as time, கழிய. 7. To be effaced, erased, obliterated by rubbing. மாய. (c.) தேய்ஞ்சான்மாஞ்சானாய்ப்போயிற்று. It is reduced by little and little. தேய்ந்தகணக்காய்ப்போயிற்று. It has come to very little. நடந்துநடந்துகால்தேய்ந்தது. The feet are worn by walking so much. தேயப்பண்ண, inf. To wear away, cause to decrease. தேய்கடை, adj. Worn out, worn away, as an implement, &c., தேய்வான. 2. Stunted in growth, வளர்ச்சியழிவான. தேய்க்கடைப்பணம், s. [also தேய்க்க டைப்பணம்.] A fanam worn by use. தேய்கடைப்பிள்ளை, s. A stunted child. தேய்ந்தபல், s. Worn teeth. தேய்பிறை, s. The waning moon. (c.) தேய்வு, v. noun. A wearing away, a lessening, abrasion, diminution, குறைவு. 2. Emaciation, மெலிவு. 3. Erasure, obliteration by rubbing, அழிவு.
