kulai (p. 127) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To untie, loosen, dishevel, relax, கட்டவிழ்க்க. 2. To take all apart, to take down-- as a scaffolding, the annual car, &c., பிரிக்க. 3. cūlai (p. 201) s. A class of diseases including arthritic complaints a stiffness or contraction of the muscles or nerves, scrofula, rheumatism, gout, colic, &c., also complaints from irregularity of the menses, ஓர்நோய். (c.) W. p. 855. S'OOLA.--Note. The following are given by Rottler, as arising from the supposed vitiation. excess, or derangement of the humors. viz.: 1. பித்தசூலை, arthritis from bile, 2. வாதசூலை, from bad and cold humors. 3. சிலேட்டுமசூலை, from phlegm. 4. வாத பித்தசூலை, from bad humors and bile. 5. சிலேட்டுமபித்தசூலை, from phlegm and bile. 6. ஐயக்கணசூலை, from phlegm and heat. In some cases, the disease takes its name from the part affected. Besides these six, the following are given by the Hindus, viz.: 1. அக்ஷசூலை. 2. ஆம சூலை. 3. உலர்த்்்்துசூலை. 4. உற்காரசூலை. 5. கர்ப்பசூலை. 6. கன்னசூலை. 7. கிருமிசூலை. 8. குன்மசூலை. 9. கரசூலை. 1. தூரசூலை. 11. நிதம்பசூலை. 12. பக்கசூலை. 13. முறிதிரிசூலை. 14. மேகசூலை, which see in their places. சூலைக்கட்டு, v. noun. Disorder or vitiation of the humors of the body; or defect in the functions of the bile, phlegm, or wind--often fatal, and always dangerous attended with low pulse, prostration and cold extremities; dyscrasy, சன்னி. The three humors of the body: 1. வாதம், wind, acid or hypochndriacal humors. 2. பித்தம், bile. 3. சிலேட்டுமம், phlegm. See திரிதோஷம். The முத்தோஷம் or three defects in composition: 1. அதிவியாப்தி, or மிகைப்படக்கூறல். 2. அ வியாத்தி or குற்றங்கூறல். 3. அசம்பவம் or மாறு கொளக்கூறல், which see. தோஷகுணம், s. A cold prostrate state of the body, from supposed derangement of its juices. தோஷக்காய்ச்சல், s. See காய்ச்சல். தோஷங்கொள்ள, inf. To be in a torpid state. தொனு, s. neṟi (p. 281) s. Swelling of the kernels, under the chin, or in the arm pits, &c., சுளுக்கு. 2. Temples, கண்மண்டைக்குழி. 3. Way, road, path, வழி. 4. Moral way, way of virtue, or religion, நீதிமார்க்கம். 5. Rectitude, propriety, morality, honesty, truth, chastity, யதார்த்தம். 6. Justice, equity, righteousness, நீதி. 7. Method, means, expedient, manner, விதம். 8. Rule, system, செவ்வை. 9. Row, order, line, series, வரிசை. 1. State of mind, spirit, temper, குணம். 11. It hit him on his temples, or on a glandular swelling. அவன்ஒருநெறியிலேநிற்கிறதில்லை. He is an unprincipled man. நெறிகட்ட--நெறியேற, inf. To swell as the glands or kernels of the neck, arm pits, &c.; sometimes நெறியிட. (c.) குட்டிச்சுவருக்குதேள்கொட்டக்கட்டுத்தறிக்கு நெறிகட்டுமா. If a scorpion stings a wall, will there be a swelling on the cow-post? i. e. irrelevant causes sould not be alleged. நெறிகுலைக்க, inf. To vitiate one's morals, &c. See குலை, v. நெறிகெட்டவன்--நெறிகேடன்--நெறி யில்லாதவன். appel. n. An unjust or immoral man. 2. One regardless of religious ceremonies, &c., நெறிகேடு, v. noun. Injustice, immorality. நெறிக்கோரை, s. A kind of grass, ஓர் கோரை. See நெறிநெட்டிக்கோரை. நெறிதப்ப--நெறிதவற, inf. To deviate from propriety, equity, or religious rule. நெறிநிற்க, inf. To adhere to the path of virtue or religion.
