Doubt, uncertainty, indecision, apprehension, suspense, சந் தேகம். ஐயமறுக்க, inf. One of the five kinds of questions which are proposed to remove doubt from the mind, சந்தேக நிவர்த்திசெய்ய. ஐயமிட, inf. To give alms, பிச் சையிட. ஐயமிட்டுண். Give alms before you eat. ஐயமுற, inf. To doubt, சந்தேகம டைய. ஐயமேலிட, inf. To be in a great doubt, சந்தேகமதிகரிக்க. 2. To have the rattles in the throat--as a dying person, சிலேட்டுமமேலிட. ஐயவணி, s. A figure in rhetoric-as where doubt is entertained as to whether a thing which bears analogy to another is identical with or distinct from it--as தாதளவிவண்டுதடுமாறுந்தாமரைகொ ல் மாதர்விழியுலவும் வாண்முகங்கொல்.
