To go and come, move, or ride about for pleasure, pastime, recreation, or exercise, to go in procession, &c., சாரிவர. --Note. This seems to be a corruption of உலாவுவிக்க, and in the second meaning, to be used for உலாவ. உலாத்திக்கொண்டிருக்க, To be walking about. துலாத்தில்வெள்ளியுலாத்திற்பெய்யும். When Venus is in libra it will rain every where. தெருவுலாத்த, inf. To take a walk in the street. 2. To parade the streets-as marriage processions, &c. உலாத்து, v. noun. [prop. உலா.] Walking, moving to and fro, going and coming, a short journey, a jaunt, ramble, stroll, excursion. உலாத்துக்கட்டை, s. The pivot upon which a door or shutter turns. 16)

urōcm (p. 65) s. A high sense of honor, keen sensibility, quick perception of an indignity, delicacy, jealousy, மானம். (c.) ஆசைக்குரோசமில்லை. Lust (or intense desire) knows no shame. உரோசங்கெட்டவன், s. A man destitute of spirit, honor, a dastard, a poltroon, மானவீனன். உரோசநாகரீகமில்லாதவன், s. One without honor or credit. உரோசப்பட, inf. To feel a sense of honor, delicacy. உரோசப்படுத்த, inf. To hurt another's feelings, to excite shame. உரோசிக்க, inf. To exhibit feelings of shame, honor, sensibility, delicacy, நாண. 2. To be spirited, sensitive to an indignity, சுவரணைகொள்ள. 71)

ūṟu (p. 71) கிறது, ஊறினது, ம், ஊற, v. a. To spring, flow as water in a well, to issue, நீரூற. 2. To soak, to be steeped, pickled, காய்முதலியவூற. 3. To ooze through, percolate, filter, distil, கசிய. 4. To run or spread--as ink in paper, as dampness in land around a spring; to become moist, மைமுதலியவூற. 5. To form, become collected--as milk in the breast, toddy in palm flowers, &c., பால்முதலியனசுரக்க. 6. To form as raw flesh in a sore, to heal, காயத்திலூன்வளர. 7. To increase--as flesh in a person who has been wasted by disease, to increase by slow degrees, மெலி ந்தவுடல்தேற. (c.) தொட்டளைத்தூறுமணற்கேணிமாந்தர்க்குக் கற்றனைத் தூறுமறிவு. The more you dig in a sandy soil the more does the water spring forth; so the more you apply to science the more your knowledge will increase. கற்கவூறுங்கலைஞானம். By learning, knowledge is increased. இறைத்தகிணறூறும்இறையாக்கிணறூறாது. Water issues from the springs of a well constantly drawn, but from one not drawn, it ceases to do so; i. e. the more one gives, the more will be given to him. ஊறணி, s. A fountain, a spring of water, ஊற்று. 2. [prov.] Good, moist land where water oozes out, கசிவுநிலம். 3. Wet, marshy, or brackish lands, சேற்று நிலம். 4. Income, property stored up, வருவாய் (probably a corruption of ஊ றுநீர்). ஊறவூறக்கறக்க, inf. To milk the cow as fast as the milk forms. 2. To obtain money from a person as fast as he gets it. ஊறவைக்க, inf. To steep, pickle, imbue, macerate. ஊறுகாய், s. Pickled fruits, அடை காய். ஊறுநீர், s. Spring-water, ஊற்று நீர். ஊறுபுண், s. A healing wound, ஆறிவரும்புண். தேனூறுமலர், s. The honey forming flower. ஊறல், v. noun. Oozing as from a sore, &c., percolation, discharge, issue, ஊறுகை. 2. s. A small spring, springwater, ஊற்று. 3. A tincture, infusion, &c., மருந்திலூறல். 4. A taint, or faint mixture of another metal, பஞ்சலோகக்கலப்பு. 5. One's income acquisition, property amassed, &c., வருவாய். 6. A slight degree of verdigris, களிம்பு. ஊறற்பாக்கு, s. Betel-put soaked to render it fit for use. ஊறற்றாள், s. Sinking paper.

uṭṟṟu (p. 59) கிறேன், உடற்றினேன், வேன், உடற்ற, v. a. To attack furiously in battle, to charge or rush on with fury, போர்செய்ய. 2. To vex, afflict, torment, வருத்த. 3. To drive back, beat away, &c., துரத்த. 4. To frustrate, thwart, scatter, disperse--as an opposing army, &c., சிதற வடிக்க. 5. To kill, destroy, exterminate, அழிக்க. 6. To discharge an arrow or other missile, பிரயோகிக்க. (p.) ஆசுகமுடற்றினாரே. They discharge arrows in rage. (பாரதம்.) வெஞ்சமமுடற்றினாரே. They carried on a destructive war. ஒல்லுங்கருமமுடற்றுபவர்கேண்மை. The friendship of those who frustrate one's designs when they are about to be accomplished. (குறள்.) உலகத்துண்ணின்றுடற்றும்பசி. Hunger will afflict the world. உடற்றல், v. noun. Attacking with fury. 2. s. Great fury, பெருங்கோபம். (p.) 86)
