Every where, in all directions. எங்கும்பரவியிருக்கின்றது. It is every where extended. எங்கும்வியாபகனாதல். See அறுகுணம், under ஆறு. எங்கெங்கே. Whither, distributively. எங்கெங்கேபுகையுண்டோஅங்கங்கேயழலுமுண் டு. Wherever there is smoke, there is fire. அதெங்கேயிதெங்கே? Where is that, and where is this? i. e. both are gone. 2. Astronomical computation, astronomy, சோதிடநூல். 5. Estimation, esteem, honor respect, worthiness, மதிப்பு. 6. Strength, வலி. 7. Total measure, வரை யறை.--Note. Seven is regarded as the most lucky number, after which five and the other odd numbers have precedence. 8. Lowness in state or rank, inferiority, pitiableness, or despicableness, எளிமை. 9. Easiness of accomplishment, acquisition, access, &c.; what is not difficult, இலேசு. 1. A kind of rape, the plant or seed, எள்ளு. (p.) எண்ணுக்குள்ளடங்காதது. That which is innumerable. 2. That which is incomprehensible. எண்ணுமெழுத்துங்கண்ணெனத்தகும். Arithmetic and grammar may be regarded as eyes. எண்ணெழுத்திகழேல். Think not lightly of numbers and letters, do not neglect reading and cyphering. எண்பொருளவாகச்செலச்சொல்லி. Communicating your thoughts in language easy to be understood-எண்சாத்திரம், s. The science of numbers, arithmetic, mathematics, கணி தம். எண்கூட்டல், s. Addition. எண்சுவடி, s. The multiplication table either of whole numbers, or fractions, ஓர்சுவடி. 2. An account book, கணக்குப்புஸ்தகம். எண்செய்யுள், s. A poem celebrating the country, town, names, titles, &c. of a hero. It consists of any number of verses from ten to onethousand inclusive. and is named from the number of verses it contains, ஓர்பிர பந்தம். See பிரபந்தம். எண்ணர், s. Astronomers, கணிதர். ஏரணங்காணென்பரெண்ணர். Astronomers will call this a treatise of arithmetic. (கோவை.) எண்ணிட, inf. To count, reckon, calculate. எண்ணிடஇடமொன்றியின்றியெங்கணும்நிறைந்த தன்றே. eḥku (p. 73) கிறது, எஃகினது, ம், எஃக, v. n. To be elastic, stretchable, நெகிழ. 2. To become stretched or drawn out, நீள. 3. To become unfastened, unclasped, unloosed, &c., அவிழ. 4. To spring back, rebound--as a bent bow, bamboo, &c., எதிர் தாக்க. 5. To be lifted, drawn, or carried-as by a well beam, தாழ்ந்தெழும்ப. 6. [with the personal terminations.] To reach up, stretch one's self in reaching for a thing, எட்ட. 7. To climb by starts, stretch one's self for climbing, உதைந்தேற. 8. v. a. To pick, card, or comb cotton, &c., to card with a bow, பஞ்சுமுதலியகொட்ட. எஃகிப்பிடி. Stretch up and reach it. எஃகியெஃகிநடக்க. To spring or toss one's self in walking. துலாஅவனைக்கொண்டெஃகிற்று. The wellsweep has taken him up. ஈளையெஃகியெஃகியிழுக்கின்றது. The asthma convulses him. வில்லெஃகிற்று. The bow started back, resiled. எஃகினபஞ்சி, s. Picked or carded cotton. எஃகுகோல், s. To guard one's fort, &c. எயில்வளைக்க, inf. To besiege a fort, to surround a fort. எயிற்புறம், s. The parts outside of a fort. மூவெயில், s. [in mythology.] The three cities of the Asoors, built in the air one above another, of gold, silver and iron respectively, and destroyed by Siva, because they had abandoned his worship; on which occasion, he made Maha Meru his bow, and Vishnu his arrow for the execution of his purpose. திரிபுரம்.
