kyiṟu (p. 96) s. Rope, cord, string, twine, line, bobbin, வடம். கயிறடிக்க, inf. To strike lines on timber with a colored string--as a carpenter. கயிறறுந்தஆட்கள், s. [prov.] Vagabonds, vagrants, strollers. கயிறுகட்ட, inf. To put off from day to day. 2. To show a pretended consent--as a seller to give his goods to one who offers a low price. 3. To employ one to deceive another. கயிறுசாத்த--கயிறுபோட, inf. To pass a string between the leaves of an ola book in order to divine by it. கயிறுசிக்குப்பட, inf. To be embroiled, to disagree, to quarrel--as husband and wife, &c., தொந்தரவுபட. கயிறுதடி, s. One of the weaver's implements, நெய்வார்கருவியிலொன்று. கயிறுதிரிக்க--கயிறுமுறுக்க, inf. To twist, twine, cord, &c. கயிறுபிடிக்க--கயிறுபின்ன, inf. To plat bobbin, cord, &c. கயிறுமாற, inf. To change the rope on the head of a horse or ox newly bought, to ratify the purchase--considered auspicious to the seller. (திருவிளை.) கயிற்றுக்கோல், s. A kind of balance or steel-yard, ஓர்தராசு. கயிற்றுக்கோலாட்டம், v. noun. Playing with strings and sticks so that a weft or lace is formed thereby, ஓர்வ கைவிளையாட்டு. கயிற்றுச்சுருள், s. A coil of rope. See சுருளை. கயிற்றுப்பொருத்தம், s. Astrological agreement required in order to the assumption of the marriage symbol-one of the ten points in astrology in which there should be agreement in the horoscopes of the male and female in order to the suitableness of a marriage connexion.--Note. When such agreement is wanting, though the marriage takes place, the symbol is not put on. கயிற்றேணி, s. A rope-ladder, the shrouds of a vessel, நூலேணி. வடக்கயிறு, s. A rope which is used in lowering or elevating the ploughshare. 2. A great rope used at Hindu festivals for drawing the car. தொடுகயிறு, s. A rope used in ploughing. 51)

You will find it if you look for it carefully. சாப்பாட்டிலேகருத்தில்லை. I have no inclination for food. கருத்தறிய, inf. To know one's design, intention, &c., உட்கருத்தைத்தெரிய. கருத்தாளி, s. A person of genius, Judgement, discrimination, acumen, penetration, discernment, புத்திசாலி. கருத்தானபாட்டு, s. A poem abstruse and full of meaning. கருத்துக்கொள்ள, inf. To have a mind for a thing--as for labor, food, learning, &c., to be inclined to. கருத்துப்பிசகு, s. A wrong construction, or erroneous interpretation. கருத்துப்பிரிய, inf. To occur to the mind--as a good idea, plan, &c. 2. to be understood, comprehended, &c.--as an idea. கருத்துப்பொருள், s. Mental objects as opposed to காட்சிப்பொருள்--an object of sense. கருத்துரை, s. A commentary giving the scope of the text, பொழிப்புரை. கருத்துரைக்க, inf. To give the scope or substance of the text as a commentator, &c. கருத்துவெளிப்படுத்த, inf. To disclose one's intention, to make known one's opinion, &c. கருத்தெடுக்க, inf. To devise, invent a scheme, lay a project, discover the sense of a passage, to find out a meaning, கருத்தைக்காண. கருத்தொட்ட, inf. To consture a difficult, passage, to put a construction on a passage, 2. To construe by supplying what is wanting. 3. To wrest or distort an author's meaning. 4. To meditate (as on the Deity), to apply the mind closely. வஞ்சகக்கருத்து, s. A deceitful design, treachery. கவிக்கருத்து, s. An author's meaning. 2. The meaning of a poem. கள்ளக்கருத்து, s. He repeated his lesson without hesitation. பல்லுக்கடகடென்றாடுகிறது. My tooth is loose. பெட்டிக்குள்ளேயாதோவொன்று கடகடென்கிறது. Something rattles in the box. கடகடென்றோட, inf. kaṉmam (p. 102) s. In the Agamas, actions and their effects are of three classes, viz: 1. ஆகாமியம், moral actions, good and evil of the present life, considered as the source of future births with their suffering and enjoyment. 2. சஞ்சிதம், the accumulated actions of the soul in former births, the retributions of which are to be experienced in future transmigrations. 3. பிராரத்தம் or பிராரத்துவம், the enjoyment and sufferings apportioned to the soul in the present state --as the retributions of actions in former births. அவனைக்கொல்லாதேகன்மம்பிடிக்கும். Do not kill him, if you do, the action will seize you. கன்மங்கட்டுப்பட, inf. See கருமங் கட்டுப்பட. கன்மகாண்டம், s. A medical book treating of diseases, as caused by the sins of former births, and the means necessary to remove them, so that medicines may prove effectual, ஓர்வைத்தியநூல். கன்மசண்டாளன், s. See கரும சண்டாளன். கன்மசாந்தி, s. A ceremony for the expiation of the evil of former deeds, கருமநிவர்த்தி. கன்மஞ்செய்தகுடி, s. A family guilty of wicked actions in former births, now made manifest by their sufferings. கன்மத்தியாகம், s. Expiation of the evil of a former birth. கன்மத்துரோகி, s. A wicked wretch, a criminal, சண்டாளன். கன்மநிவர்த்தி--கன்மநிவாரணம், s. See கருமநிவர்த்தி. கன்மந்தொலைய, inf. To become extinct, to be worked or eaten out and terminated--as former evil deeds. கன்மபந்தம், s. [as கருமபந்தம்.] The bond or connexion between the sins of former births and their subsequent punishment. கன்மபரிபாகம், s. Ripening, or expiration of the accumulated merit of the actions of former births, கன்மவொழிவு. கன்மபாதகம், s. A heinous crime. கன்மபாதகன், s. One guilty of some heinous crime, கொடியபாதகன். கன்மபூமி, s. The earth as the theatre of moral actions, or place where virtue and vice are practised, and their respective merit and demerit accumulated, பூலோகம். கன்மம்பிடிக்க, inf. To attend, follow, or pursue--as the guilt of crimes personified. கன்மம்புசிக்க, inf. To experience the good or evil of former actions. கன்மவலை, s. The net of moral actions, கன்மபாசம், i. e. the entanglements of births, or actions and their result, in subsequent transmigrations. கன்மவாதனை, s. See கருமவேதனை. கன்மரோகம்--கன்மவியாதி, s. See கருமவியாதி. கன்மவுடம்பு, s. Bodies assumed, as a result of former deeds, கன்மசரீரம். கன்மாதி, s. Funeral rites, &c., for deceased ancestors, கர்மாதி. கன்மி, s.
