utti (p. 60) s. Union, agreement, connection, இசைவு. Wils. p. 685. YUKTI. 2. The art which a scientific or literary author employs in treating his subject-such as the general plan, divisions, subdivisions, mode of discussion, examples, quoting authorities, showing how the sentiments of others agree with, or differ from his own, &c. In the பாயிரம் of நன்னூல், thirty-two particulars are given as proper to be kept in view by such writers, தந்திரவு த்தி. oppu (p. 82) s. Likeness, similitude, comparison, resemblance, ஒப்புமை. 2. Suitableness, congruity, acceptableness, satisfactoriness, தகுதி. 3. To recommend a person, புகழ்ந்தொப்பிக்க. ஒப்படைபண்ண, inf. To deliver in charge, commit, consign, capitulate, ஒப்புக்கொடுக்க. 2. To satisfy, make satisfaction, indemnify, ஒப்பச்செய்ய. ஒப்பணி, s. Right, proper conduct, walking according to established rule, ஒத்தவொழுக்கம். 2. Hypocritical profession of love or friendship, feigned courtesy. dissimulation, pretension, hypocrisy, கபடம். 3. Compact, agreement, உடன்படிக்கை. 4. [prov.] Connivance, க ண்டுங்காணாமலிருக்கை. உனக்கும்அவனுக்கும்ஒப்பாசாரமென்ன. What contract have you made with him? ஒப்பாசாரக்கள்ளன், s. A hypocrite, a dissembler, a feigner, மாயக்காரன். ஒப்பாசாரஞ்சொல்ல, inf. To promise. ஒப்பாசாரம்பண்ண, inf. To make a contract. ஒப்பிட, inf. To use comparison, to liken, உவமிக்க. 2. To compare, to collate, ஒத்துப்பார்க்க. ஒப்பில்லாதது, appel. n. That which is incomparable, precious. ஒப்பில்லாதவன், appel. n. He who is incomparable--God. ஒப்பின்முடித்தல், v. noun. [in grammar.] An author's classing things together on account of some similarity among them, though of different species, 32-உத்தியிலொன்று. ஒப்பின்மை, s. Incomparableness, peerlessness. 2. Dissimilarity. ஒப்புக்கு. Out of compliment, for conformity's sake. ஒப்புக்கழ, inf. To feign weeping, to bewail at funerals for ceremony's sake. ஒப்புக்குச்செய்ய, inf. To do a thing feignedly, merely to please others. ஒப்புக்குச்சொல்ல, inf. To say a thing, or to invite one merely out of compliment, to say for form's sake. ஒப்புக்குவணங்க, inf. To make obeisance, or to worship hypocritically, or for form's sake. ஒப்புக்கொடுக்க, inf. To deliver, consign, make over, to surrender, devote, ஒப்புவிக்க. நீயொப்புக்கொடுக்கவுமில்லை நானொப்புக்கொள் ளவுமில்லை. Thou hast not given it to me, nor have I received it. அக்கினிக்கொப்புக்கொடுக்க, inf. To make an offering to the god of fire, as in marriage ceremonies. 2. To consign to the fire. ஒப்புக்கொள்ள, inf.
