tā (p. 232) தருகிறேன், தந்தேன், தருவேன், தர, v. a. To give as equals, ஒப்போனுக்குத்்தர. 2. To give, in general not to a third person, கொடுக்க. 3. To grant, to bestow, அருள. 4. To yield, produce, bring forth, கனி கொடுக்க. 5. To apportion, distribute, allot, assign, appropriate, பகிர்ந்துகொடுக்க. 6. To convey a meaning, to mean, as words, பயன் தர. 7. To create, make; to form, construct, படைக்க. 8. To beget, generate, procreate, மகவைப்பெற. 9. To produce, as an author, நூல்செய்ய. 1. To impart, to furnish, to supply, சேகரிக்க. 11. To emit, to give out, ஊற. --Note. தரல், in poetry is, as an auxiliary, joined to the root of other verbs--as புறந்்தரல், turning the back before an enemy, &c., எழுதரல், for எழுந்திருத்தல், rising up, போதரல், for போதல், going; பின் றரல் for பின்றல், withdrawing, retiring. தருகிறவன்ஒருவன்இருக்கிறான்.
