It is auspicious for planting paddy (perhaps from rain.) சோபனகாரியம், s. A joyful, prosperous, or auspicious event--spoken of weddings, maturity of a female, &c. சோபனங்கூற--சோபனஞ்சொல்ல, inf. To communicate good news as the birth of a son, a happy marriage, the attainment of a marriage fortune, a good office, &c. 2. To congratulate; to express one's self in auspicious language. 3.
