īrl (p. 58) s. The lungs, liver, spleen, and other viscera, ஈருள். ஈரல்கருக, inf. To be smitten with anguish, fear, shame, &c. ஈரல்கருகிப்போயிற்று. My liver is dried up--an expression which indicates intense anguish. ஈரல்பதற, inf. To be terrified, agitated. ஈரற்குலை, s. A hill-fort, துருக்கம். கெடியடிபட, inf. To be famed--as a great man. 2. To be dreaded. கெடியன், s. A bold, undaunted person, அஞ்சாதவன். 2. A man of valor, who spreads terror, கெடிவீரன். 3. A clever, skilful, competent person; a powerful speaker, திறமுள்ளோன். கெடிகொள்ள, inf. To be overwhelmed with fear. கெடிபண்ண, inf. To meanace threaten, frighten. கெடிமண்ட, inf. To be frightened, terrified; to be overwhelmed with fear. கெடிகலங்க, inf. To be agitated with fear. கெடிஸ்தலம், s. A notorious place or town. மரணக்கெடி, s. Dread of death. 5)

veṟi (p. 401) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. To be drunk, or intoxicated, வெறிகொள்ள. 2. To be tantalized, to pant after, உண வுக்கேமாற. 3. To stare, திகைக்க. 4. To become lonely, solitary--as a palace, or a king's court in his absence, வெறுமையாக. (c.) அவனுக்குவெறித்தது. He is intoxicated. காலம்வெறித்துக்கிடக்கிறது. It is a time of dearth. வெறிக்கவுஞ்சினக்கவும்பார்க்கிறான். He looks furious. மரம்வெறித்துக்கிடக்கிறது. The tree has been lopped. (R.) வெறிக்கப்பார்க்க, inf.
