Stroking the back shows affection; the feet, submission; the face or chin, pity, affection, or supplication. தடவக்கொடுக்க, inf. to let one stroke the back. 2. [prov.] To yield too much, to be too submissive. தடவிக்கொடுக்க, inf. To stroke a person, beast, &c. 2. To give short measure. இருந்துதடவ, inf. To sit groping; from great age, blindness, &c. தடவிக்கொண்டுதிரிய, inf. To walk about groping. தடவியளக்க, inf. To measure scantily, with the measure. தட்டித்தடவிவர, inf. To come stumbling and groping. தாடியைத்தடவ, inf. To stroke the chin as supplicating favors. வீடெல்லாந்தடவிப்பார். Search for it all over the house. எல்லாந்தடவிக்கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான். He has scraped up all, and gone. அவனைத்தலைதடவிப்போட்டார்கள்.....They have stripped him of every thing. மரமெல்லாந்தடவிக்கொண்டுவந்துவிட்டான்.
