To hamper. சேர்ந்த, (past rel. part.) Joined, united, belonging to, &c. அந்தநிலமவனைச்சேர்ந்தது. That land is his. சேர்ந்தமுதல், s. Stock. See முதல். சேர்ந்தவன், appel. n. An applicant for aid. 2. tur (p. 249) s. A prefix used in combination signifying evil, ill, bad, deficient; it is often changed to ற், before the hard letters, to ன் before the soft, as துன்மார்க்கம். Before இடையினம், there is no change. Sometimes ர் is dropped and the relative letter takes its place--as துச்சரிதம், ஒருபசர்க் கை. (See துஷ்.) W. p. 414. DUR. துரதிஷ்டம், s. Ill luck. A petulant or insolent man. துர்ச்சனனைக்கண்டால்தூரவிலகு...... Abstain from an insolent person. துர்ச்செய்கை, s. Evil action. துர்ச்சொப்பனம், s. (also துச்சொப்ப னம்.] A bad or ominous dream. துர்த்தேவதை, s. A malignant demon. துர்ப்பலம், s. Weakness, feebleness, thinness, emaciation, பலவீனம். 2. (fig.) The state of being reduced in circumstances, சிறுமை. முன்னமேதுர்ப்பலைஅதிலுங்கர்ப்பிணி. Before weak, and now also pregnant; or poor, and under a heavy fine. துர்ப்பலன், s. [vul.] To take care of, cherish, foster. provide for, பராமரிக்க. 4. To inquire about one, to ask after his welfare, உசாவ. (c.) தேடிப்புதைத்துத்தெருவிலிரக்கிறதா. Does he hide what he gets and beg in the street? தேடிமுடியாது. No search can discover it. It cannot be got by seeking. தேடினபூண்டுகாலிலேமிதிபட்டது. The plant sought is under foot; i. e. the thing desired at hand. தேடாக்கூறு, s. [prov.] A state of neglect, பராமரிப்பின்மை; also தேட்டாக்கூறு. தேடாக்கூறாய்க்கிடக்க, inf. To be neglected. தேடாத்தேட்டம், s. Acquisition by unparalleled labor, acquisition by unworthy or unjust means. தேடிக்கொடுக்க, inf. To get for another. 2.
