kāṇikkai (p. 103) s. A voluntary oblation, commonly in money, gold, fruits, &c. set before an idol to obtain favor, a sacrifice, தட்சணை. 2. A present to a guru or other great person, பாதகாணிக்கை. காணிக்கைகொடுக்க, inf. To present an oblation. காணிக்கைத்தட்டு, s. A salver for receiving gifts. காணிக்கைப்பொருள், s. A thing presented as an oblation or gift. காணிக்கைகொண்டுவர--காணிக் கைவைக்க, inf. To place a gift in a salver before an idol. முடிக்காணிக்கை, s. An offering of the hair of a person's head which has been allowed to grow for a certain time and then shaved off and presented to an idol in fulfillment of a vow. இராசகாணிக்கை, s.
