To measure by the long stick in the கிட்டிப்புள்ளு game. தடிமூக்குள்ளான், A kind of snipe. See உள்ளான். தடியன்--தடிமிண்டன், s. A stout, corpulent person, பருத்தவன். 2. tāppicai (p. 233) --தாப்பிசைப்பொருள் கோள், s. (a compound of தாம்பு and இசை.) One of the eight methods of constructing verse, by which a word in the middle is connected both with the end and beginning, from the idea of a swing--as உ ண்ணாமையுள்ளதுயிர்நிலை ஊனுண்ண அண்ணாத்தல் செய்யாதளறு, if not eaten, the bodies of some animals will retain their lives. The hell that swallows a flesh eater will never open its mouth to let him out. Here ஊன், is the connecting word, ஓர்பொருள்கோள். 53)
