II. To அரசர், the royal or military race: 1. ஓதல், studying. 2. வேட்டல், performing rites. 3. ஈதல், bestowing alms, and donations. 4. உலகோம்பல், cherishing, protecting, governing the land. 5. படைப்பயிற்றல், training or disciplining armies. 6. பொருதல், carrying on war.
